    Default Snake fly my way

    Ingreadiance
any suitabel trebel hook size 10/12
    lenth of braided mono 20lb
    lenth of melor tube silver/pearl
and dressing of your choice here i use squirrel tail

insert darning needel into braid as shown in photo

thread hook onto the braid ,thread braid through the eye of the needel,
    then pull the needel

trim the tag, add a drop of glue.repeat this sequence without the hook to form
    the eye of the fly.

put into vice, catch some thread turns on the hook, take a lenth of melor tube,
remove string from inside of the tube.slide tube over the braid and tie down.

whip finish, and add hard as nails.
then catch on thread at the eye end and lenthen your thread so that the bobin rests on the bench, this takes the weight of the bobin and free's up your hand's

add your 1st bit of wing, rotate fly, lenthen thread rest bobin on bench.
    and repeat

at this stage add any flashy extras of your choice, build up a head whip finish
i add supper glue and hard as nails once glue has dryed.

    below Squirrelblue and silver

    thanks

    HI SB.

Very good but I have to say that don't I

Have you had both yuour hands on your big rod today

Would they work for the salmon? you will have to knock me up a couple, when you said yesterday how they are hard to hold in the vice while you make them, couldn't you put the needle down the braid, leave it sticking out past the braided loop, hold the needle in the vice and use it as a support, if you get my drift.

    SB,

Nice Fly mate, but it is a very small world as I was fishing all week in Czech Rep with the inventor of the fly Jan, he is also the guy famous for tying eel skin flies and he is awesome

    Watch out for the pictures.
