    Imagine if they didnt add tax,,,,,,, we (and other hobbies) would buy everything abroad, so the tax revenue would have to come from elsewhere (so we would be no better off) and lots of people would go out of business.

    If purchased outside the EU, a few pairs of standard cotton socks should fall below the HMIRC threshold/radar.
