you also have to bare in mind that is not per person ,, you split the 41 between the 2 of you so only 20.50.

i am out on Thursday with a mate ( only his 2nd outing on the Loch ) and he cant believe how cheap it is to fish the Loch we are out from 10am - 6pm for 45 / 22.50 each.

Absolute belters there Stevie i have not had the pleasure of a double hook up , i can only Imagen the fun of playing that lol.

Your prices for the North third seem very cheap I take it that it is for the catch and release ticket as I would think the boat would be extra on top and then more so if you want an outboard.
I have only fished it once and Im sure I paid more than that.

Yes, my point is North Third and all the others are stocked (in North Thirds case on a weekly basis), not wild like Leven has reverted back to.

If you want wild brown trout of decent size you have to pay for it, whether in direct costs ( i.e. permit), boat hire, fuel travelling (to remote places) etc etc. The reason it is expensive is to cover the costs and to limit the number of people on the Loch, thereby keeping the quality up and average size up.

They tried doubling the boats and keeping a low price in the 80's and 90's and the place went belly up and the fishing went to ****.

I highly doubt the place is turning much of a profit as it is set up, but in my opinion it is still cheap for what it is.

it is 10 for a catch and realease ticket and it is the same for boat or bank and i have my own outboard anyway so no problems there!!!
and as for the fact north third is stocked weekly i know and would much rather fish for loch leven broownies any day of the week my only complaint is that it was going to cost 41 for me and my dad for 4 hours fishing which is just more than we can afford to pay every week for an evening session

Not sure where the 10pm came from, I was out 3 weeks ago and it was 11pm finish and I got on the loch at 5:15 as there were a few boats in early; worth every penny!

Going out the night for a few hours for the first time in years.

We are paying 4 an hour, boats in at 11.30. going for 8-11. 12 each, seems ideal to me.

Rather excited, hopper, what were you catching those on, stunning fish!!
