Angry loch leven robbery!!

Hi all,
i was going to book at boat for loch leven for tuesday night...phoned up loch leven and found out it was 42 for an evening boat which is quite pricey but i thoght why not treat myself as i have heard loch leven was on its way back to its good old days and i was just about to book it when i asked the lady on the other side of the phone what the times of the evening session was and she said 6pm-10pm..
WHAT 42 FOR 4 HOURS FISHING!!!!!!!! i told her i dont think thats right and i was assured that it was and then told her that was robbery and as im sure most of you on here will remember loch leven evening session used to be 6.30-11.30 and it wasnt as expensive as 42 either. in the end i hung up in anger and booked a evening session at north third for 10 per person from 4.30-10.30 not bad at all
Regards,
Tom

If you were fishing on your own, the price should have been 27 for the evening session. 41 is the price for a boat with 2 or 3 in it.

Still expensive for a wild fishery.

Never fished it myself ( or any other loch for that matter ),but as a rule i thought fishing in Scotland was cheap ( well for trout anyway).Oh well there's plenty of others like you said and at least you don't have to pay for a EA licence every yr like what we do

It's not that bad, for your 41 you get the following: -

  • Boat with outboard for 4 hours
  • Up to three people in the boat.
  • 4 Hours fishing Loch Leven each for some of the best wild and naturalised trout (there still will be some ex-stockies around) in Scotland ranging from 1/2lb through to 6 and 7lb.
  • No Limits on what you catch.
  • Some of the best scenery and dusks in the country.

Compare that to a put and take pond for 15 per person, 2 fish limit for 4 hours, bank only which is standard rates for a lot of them or How much would you spend in the pub for 4 hours?
