hi im steve and at 49yrs old decided to take up fly fishing,ive done a lot of sea fishing but not much river but went for a lesson and caught 4 trout that was it now im hooked.I bought a season ticket for my local river which is the wear at finchale priory but need advice on what flys or nymphs to fish also any advice welcome

Thank you and I am blessed with free fishing on 2 great rivers (Ayr and Doon), it does pay sometimes to be a veteran

yep about 3 mile outside durham i have a couple of trout ponds in walking distance of my house which are stocked weekly but i think to catch a wild trout would be the iceing on the cake
