I've never used anything heavier than a midge tip, it's not too deep with fish always pretty close to the top.

It strikes me that there are a lot of guys on the forum from Fife and we've never had a forum day out would any of you guys be up for this? And if so what water? It would have to be large enough to accomodate a dozen or so anglers and have a bit of variety in the fishing browns, rainbows, boat and bank. Jon

A few of us went to Stenhouse last year but I agree, a proper day out would be good; even better if it's on the loch

This sounds like a great idea.. what about loch glow bank and boat for only 8
Or north third (in stirling) but still got bank and boat fishing and C/R for 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah good idea that, Balado or Stenhouse i reckon would be up to the job!!

For me, Balado would just shade it,only just... the quality of sport is top notch,a fantastic top of the water venue with as good a troot as you'll find, plus always found the guys up there a pleasure to deal with.

Stenhouse is coming on a treat and may cope a wee bit better with the number 12+...They also have a great bunch of guys with a great WARM wee cabin!!

Glensherrup would also be a possibility...

Lets do it tho, Saturday March 17th??

I'm good for the 17th. I will phone Balado to see if they are ok with this and put up a new thread tomorrow night. Jon
