quite a distance between ayr and gretna about 90 miles maybe ?

Personally i don't really bother with recommendations, i usualy try a fishery for myself when i find one, that's half the the fun of it, for me at least

I use a sat nav file, you upload it to your TomTom, it has around 500 uk fisheries included in it, you can set an alarm to go off as you get near one.

Can be a slight pain if you're heading to a job which is quite far away, and the alarm tells you that you have just passed four or five fisheries

Certainly makes you wonder what the fishing is like that day

If it's of any use to you just holler.

    Best regards
    Jim
The fishing has been so hard lately, that even the liars aren't catching anything

Another shout out for Alderneuk. Amazing fishery and quality fish. We make the trip down from Largs every couple of months.

A bit of a trek but well worth it

    Cheers
