    Default Anglers Lodge

I've bought from this online store several times and always find they provide a reliable and fast service.

This week I ordered a box of hooks in a hurry. They arrived pronto as usual but were the wrong size. My fault, clicking on the screen before using the drop down. Anyway I 'phoned up to explain my mistake, got through to a pleasant chap who put me straight on to Sandra. She said it was not a problem send them back and she will get some replacements off.

This was yesterday late afternoon so I was sort of gobsmacked when they arrived first post this morning before I had a chance to seal up a jiffy bag.

Now for friendliness and service at a decent price that takes some beating. Keep them in mind.

Sandra & Dave are two of the nicest people I've met, customer service is superb and nothing is too much trouble, I have used anglers lodge for a while and they have actually become good friends.

If anyone hasn't used them yet then give them a try, online is great but give them a phone and experience some of the best service around

I have to say Anglers Lodge is the best tackle shop here in the N/east.
Sandra and Dave wont sell you anything thats not right,as in breathable waders that dont do their job..
They also have a very successfull Trout fishery on the site that i learnt my fly fishing days on way back in the 70s when rainbow trout fishing was takeing of around the country.
I live pretty close so i like to pop in when i need all my fly tying silks hooks squirrel tais ,seals fur ect and ive always been made welcome along with great service.
Got my favourite Daiwa Lochmore rod from Anglers Lodge, which is also known as Jubilee Lakes when talking about big fish catches among friends.

You must have been going there when larry Guthrie had it ? That was when and where I very first cast a fly rod, my grandfatha was good mates with him and we used to look after the place when he went on holiday, he moved down to Brompton on Swale after redworth and started a new fishery/fish farm there, so we did the same, used to take our caravan down for a week and stay there fond memories

    Hello leeren,
We knew the lake as Guthries or Aycliffe.
My friend Steve Farley who is no longer with us took me to Gutheries.
There was only the bottom lake ,we got on well with Mr Guthrie.
Steve lived at Thorpe Theweles and he gave lenny some minnows from the local beck.
That will have been around 1978/79.
We did fish Lennys place at Richmond also.
Ive not fished Jubilee since Dave and Sandra have taken over thats only because i like to fish the river Wear or the bigger reservoirs of Teesdale.
They have made a great job of the place through hard work and are really worth a visit either to fish or to get tackle from their well stocked shop.
