Default River Wenning

Hello Folks, I began fly fishing two years ago when I moved to Wennington in the Lune Valley in Lancashire. All villagers can fish along a section of the River Wenning for free. I know it contains brown trout because you can see them jumping and I have caught four tiny ones with a spinner, but none yet with a fly. Could members give me some advice on how to catch these elusive but very beautiful little fellows. What tactics would you use? What flies? When and how etc.?
