Default River Earn at St Fillans

Heading off for a week in St Fillans early next month and looking to get on the River Earn close by. I can find ticket information online for other parts of the river but not at St Fillans. Any ideas?

From what I can remember there are shops that sell permits for the river, I would consider giving loch earn itself a shot, there are boats available from lochearnhead. I fished it for the first time in mid july past and had a great couple hours sport. Kates, Goslings and Dunkelds being the top flies fishing off legdes, cast into the shore with a sinking line and pull.

let us know how you get on

Thanks, but me and boats just don't get on. I wobble, they wobble, I wobble some more.....you get the idea.

I'd try off the bank but I understand there quite a high Buckfast Brigade presence. So, I'd really like a go in the river.

You could always give the contact number on The Crieff Angling Club website a ring and ask them I doubt they would mind pointing you in the right direction. They are a friendly club iv met a few of them, including the Secretary who drove down to the river to give my mate and I permits when the shop was unexpectedly closed.
If no one on here knows then I'd say that was your best bet. Tight lines it's a good river.
