    Now then

I had a great little excursion to Applecross last month and have done a write-up of my trip. I've not mentioned the exact name, let's keep it that way :-)

    Nice one Mantog.
I've got the camping gear and I've got the fishing gear, never got to putting the two together for a trip.
I have a wife and daughter. I'm always wrong and outnumbered.

Excellent post Mantog. This small island of ours harbours some achingly beautiful wilderness. Have done York to Scourie many times - the drive is an endeavour in itself!

we usually just drink the hill water, nice trip, I fished some of these in a heat wave some years back, we could have drunk a loch dry, but a brew up sufficed and back down to Ardeshlaig , plenty fishing some of these lochs must see no one from year to year, easker1

Nice tale Mantog. It's been 30 years since I was in that corrie but I recognized it instantly from your pics and words. A long hard slog for a few sprats, but size is not everything. There are some good fish in the top loch, had a few over 3 lb there but as I said that was over 30 years ago.
