Any supporters of Photochromic sunglasses such as sold by Serengeti or Smith?

Much love for my original Corning optics Serengetis, but sold them on here a year or few ago as they were always slightly too dark IME for my personal preference, and I had stopped using them.

Best optics I have ever used though.

I could live with spending a couple of hundred on glasses if convinced they were worth the outlay. Trouble is you have to take it on trust. They don’t do sale or return

Sadly it in the middle of bUllsh!t country.

I almost bought some Costas last year but decided I'd most likely break them so rather than going really cheap I got some Guideline Surface glasses which I find excellent.

Not quite that level of checking but I was in my local tackle shop and they had a new load of WX sunglasses, they are not costa price but they are north of 100. I was looking for a Pair of sunglasses and joked about how expensive they are, sales guy said they are worth it and would prove it. He popped the lenses out of the tester glasses dropped it on the concrete floor so it was curved up like a bowl and then stamped on it. once he was done he let me have a good bash at it. The Lens took the abuse with a light scratch the only damage. I picked up a pair after that. I need my eyes and I don't want to lose one to a bead head and a bad cast or pulling a fly out of a tree.

The reason I was shopping for a new pair was that my bolie classes shattered after a drop of about 1 foot on to concrete.
