    Default Vision Mag 10'0" #3/4

I've just bought the above rod from Garry Evan's as one of their Black Friday deals. A nice rod with its unground blank and unusual these days in having spigot joints. I've had a cast with it and am impressed but does anyone else have one and if so what line would you reccommend to use on it?

    Thanks.

Agree , a good rod and I use a Snowbee thistledown 2-5 on mine and works very well for me on overhead/rolls/spey casts or just as well a Rio 3 weight single hand spey or 4 weight on a windy day/bushy flies .
    Hope that helps.

What do you mean by unground Roger, Matt finish?

Sit still and watch the river, it's all a part of fishing.

Many thanks for that, most helpful. I've only tried it with a #4 Barrio Smallstream and didn't feel that it loaded very well at short distance. Before I buy yet another line I will try it with a Rio Gold in #3 or #4 weight or a Hardy Compact taper #3 which I think may be nearer to a Spey type profile.
If I'm not happy with any of these I'll get a Rio single hand Spey.

Sorry Steven didn't notice your post. Yes it's a matt finish but also has ridges on the blank a bit like some of the older Orvis rods.

Snap! I tried the Hardy line which it didn't like so went on to a Rio Gold #4 weight and it flew through the rings. I've got a Rio Gold #3 so I'll try that as well if it ever stops raining and blowing a hoolie.
