    What is a nymph?, what's in a name?. The OP asked for nymphs, now we have spiders, buzzers, lures?, seems anything goes.

    Yup almost anything goes. Has too.

    If the list is to include entomological definitions only then we probably only have damsel nymphs in our armoury.

    It would exclude buzzers (larvae and pupa) which would be rather a shame. It doesn't even include sedges.

    My club only allows imitation fishing with a size limit and a lure ban. There's an exception on size when there's a genuine attempt to 'match the hatch' eg daddy long legs. 'Lure' is rather ill defined and some of my 'damsels' are questionable but we all know pink boobies, cat's whiskers, blobs and FAB would be beyond the pale.

    That's pretty much what we're talking about here I think.
