This is work in progress - constructive comments and corrections welcome.

I deliberately omitted nothing, i merely took your first two thread examples for comparison.

Many people have pointed out inconsistencies in your "work in progress" i have touched on some myself.
(1.) That anglers wont buy tippet based on technical data, they don't care about it, they want to buy tippet based on performance and value for money.
(2.) Your abbreviation of fluorocarbon is ludicrous
(3.) I can buy top brand fluorocarbon cheaper than top brand nylon.

Lets look at your random amazon argument for cheap(er) mono

    Robot Check

    Let's try fluorocarbon

    Robot Check

Tell me which is cheaper ?

On at least three occasions you have insulted members who have tried to point out inconsistencies in your "personal opinions"

I won't follow your lead and return your insults.

I am aware that resorting to name calling means you've lost any credibility, as slander becomes the tool of a loser.

Andy is spot on your lack of experience and knowledge does indeed shine through.

    Best regards

My understanding of mono is that it's the means of connecting the fly line to the pointy bit at the very end, simply to enable it to be presented to a possible feeding fish...... I could be wrong though?
2019 & it will be time for a change.

I'm sure you're right. But many others are interested and want to make more intelligent choices.

(2.) Your abbreviation of fluorocarbon is ludicrous
Sigh. It's not my abbreviation. Many anglers say it. Get over it, it's irrelevant and it's no longer used in the body of the text.

We can do this all day if you like - I can go online and find nylons cheaper than fluorocarbon all day long. The reason is that fluorocarbon bulk material (and by that I don't mean large spools of mono, I mean the base plastic from which the mono is formed) is more expensive and the extrusion process is more expensive than nylon.

It's simply a fact that leader material made from fluorocarbon is generally more expensive than nylon. Can you find some cheap variants of each? Of course you can. On average women are smaller than men. Can you find a tall woman?

    Now you're just being childish.

I find this somewhat amusing although obviously not everyone does.
We managed to have over 1000 posts on the ‘Religion’ thread recently without getting personal or this level of disagreement.

Only when the last tree has been cut down, the last fish caught and the last river poisoned, will we realise, we cannot eat money.

It's not amusing, it's tedious having to deal with badly brought up children that can't behave themselves in a grown up discussion - about mono, for god's sake...

Talking about mono is heresy and should be restricted only to those within the high priesthood. Apparently.

I’m going to have to watch that again now

Mono-theism or Flouro-theism, that is the question.
