I don't think FFFT is acting responsibly showing a pic like that. Having said that I don't know if they condemn it in the script.

On a lighter note, this would be a good pic for next months caption competition!

He’s a proper nutter, unless it’s only knee deep and he’s fallen on his ar$e. Good one for a caption anyway!

If you read the article - the guy is an experienced angler and more than capable swimmer (ex-elite open water swimming), wearing a buoyant wading jacket and dealing with an angling emergency while salmon fishing on the river Skjern in Denmark. He had a buddy close by to help - the author of the article and photographer. The salmon was duly landed and safely released !

That's what I meant by saying 'If it's in the script'

The salmon ran between two iron stakes driven into the river bed by a commercial eel fisherman which you can partly see in the photo. As they were connected to a third stake driven into the bank, the only way for the angler to avoid either damaging the rod or losing the fish was to get in the river....

Sheesh the word "emergency" is perhaps a little strong for the risk of losing a fish. I'd go with quandary, dilemma, pickle, scrape or 'tight spot'.

You can see how elf and safety has really taken a strong grip on the fabric of our society, just by some of the responses to this thread.
