    Dry fly fishing - is a 9.5ft better than a 10ft rod?

The Hends GPX is a great dual length 9’ft/10’ rod. https://www.tungsten-beads-plus.com/products/hends-gpx-2-in-1-fly-rod-new Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Hends Flyrod Warranty ?

When I broke the second section on mine a while ago I didn't have much joy with Hends so ended up buying a new section from Toby at Funky fly tying who was selling them at that time. I cant remember what I payed but I think it was quite reasonable to repair a favourite rod.

Wild Trout and Grayling fishing 2021.

Fished another WUF wild stream beat today. Water looking good but still not many flies hatching or fish rising. Lucky they're quite partial to a copper bead nymph. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Wild Trout and Grayling fishing 2021.

First trip on Friday to a WUF wild stream. Fished with my newly finished 6’6 2#. Perfect for these small streams and had a real smile on my face with the first Trout of the season. Had a few spectators too. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Colour preserver.

Thanks for the top tip Simon. I haven’t attempted trim bands yet as I’m still learning but may be something for future builds. I think I’ve been quite lucky with the way this one has turned out with the nice muted whippings. I did see another tip the other day of a small practice area under the...

    Colour preserver.

I’ve just finished building my second rod and the thread has ended up translucent. I used FishHawk nylon and was surprised to be able to see the guide feet. Should I have used colour preserver on the thread? I quite like the results and the colour of the finished wraps. Sent from my iPad...
