Everyone fishes for different reasons. For this angler, the venue is as important as the fish that I endeavour to catch. We all carry images in our heads of our own fishing heaven, the one place in the world where if we could only fish one venue for the rest of our lives then this would be it.

I know a place where time stands still. Like everything around us, it changes with the ongoing march of the seasons each year, yet in most ways it remains constant. The lake in question is a relatively new acquaintance, after an initial introduction we spent most of last year getting to know each other.
