Wee update from Stenny, was doon last night.

Having had a blether with the baliff, who had been saying the big browns have been putting in a appearance recently i decided to try go get one. He suggested trying fishin right on the weed beds at the very top of the water, so i motor up and anchored.
The baliff had one himself the previous evening, he spent 3 hours trying to seduce the fish until it went for his black buzzer.

There were fish everywhere, as he suggested...

Me and my mate John headed alomg to stenhouse which is fast becoming our regular, favourite haunt.:thumbs:

Two and half hours in the Saturday morning haar, water was like glass but alive with buzzer feeding trout, there were thousand of spent buzzer cases all over the water.

We chucked our dosh at John, purely in a hurry to get fishing and we headed down to the bank, only to find the fish so fixated on the wee black chironomids(thinks thats how its spelt) that my first...

Went with two mates,Andy and John, fished Sunday and Monday. Drove down from Fife at 5am and got there in time for the opening on Sunday and bumped into Nick Halstead in the lodge, who was more than happy to point us in the direction of some fish, what flies to use etc which was invaluable, thanks Nick!!!

Three of us fished the bank all day, 5 casts in my mate who is still learning the basic was in, on the fly Nick recommended and landed the fish. We were all delighted, however wasn't...
