Hello I’ve just been given a secondhand compo 69 but the spool doesn’t click onto the spindle, it just slides and off. Will new o-ring seals fix that? I see they are available on eBay. Thanks

I'm off to South Devon in a couple of weeks, staying at the Thurlestone Hotel. I can see that the river Avon and its estuary are just north of there while Kingsbridge is just south. Seems to be a lot of streams around that area too.

Thanks that was really good. I'd liked to have known more about his rod and tippet but I see how it works now: a "flip" cast. It seems that this style of fishing is really only for shortish range though? Also, without the weight of a fly line would it turn over a single dry?
