How to use a midge tip

Hi, I have a midge tip line which I have never really used. Can someone give me some hints on the best way to fish this line (especially on still water in these hot conditions) and which are the best flies to use. I also have two (5' and 8' ) slow and fast sinking tips, which again I don't use...

    An Upper Bure Investigation

Tight lines. I have fiished both Abbots Hall and as a guest on the club stretch. Not easy, especially as I normally fish our still water lake near Swanton Morley.

    Fine tweezers

Just had a look at fine forceps. That seems to be the way to go. Anyone want a pair of Lureflash straight tweezers? Thanks for the replies/suggestions/

    Fine tweezers

Looking for a pair of fine tweezers. Bought a Lureflash straight tweezer but it is not fine. Lureflash at top and my old fine ones below. Trying to get a replacement for those. Any suggestions please.

    Risk assessment for fishing

Having followed this thread closely I am heartened by the number of replies that feel traveling outside of our immediate local area cannot be justified. eBay seller, anyone dealt with him.?

Really support looking at Flyshed (formerly Eyebrook Fishing Tackle) to buy stuff. Stuart very helpful and prices usually considerably cheaper than some of the big stores.

    Improving my casting distance.

Thanks for that. At one point (near the beginning) I wished I hadn't asked it. But most folk haven't been condescending and some good advice has been given.

    Improving my casting distance.

Thanks for everyone's replies. Some were really helpful. I will keep trying to improve my presentation and maybe when life gets back to normal I will think about another lesson.

    Improving my casting distance.

I don't always present my flies perfectly but folk have been kind enough to say that my casting is quite good. By the way I am she not he, so I might not have the same strength as some of the gentlemen to get the line out but I seem to equal others. Trying to avoid the gender debate going on...

Best way of fishing a snake.

Thanks, that was the advice I wanted. I very rarely use one but got desperate this week then suddenly thought - not sure the best way to fish it.
