Default MRA Auction XI Lot 31: Forty river flies tied by DaveB

    LOT 31

A set of river flies (40) to include a selection of small parachutes, jinglers, Klinks, CDC patterns, spiders and nymphs.

“These are all patterns that I personally use”

    Donated by DaveB

Trout fishermen revere the trout; trout, on the other hand, unaware of their sublime standing in man's world, revere nothing, including man, a creature they seem to view with special contempt. Nihilism is a rare trait in fish but trout are full of it. The old men liked that.

I've had the pleasure of using and catching with Dave's flies, £30.00 from me.

The flies posted by Patrick were examples of the flies rather than the box to be supplied. The box is now complete with 47 flies in total but I will add an additional 3 flies to make it 50. Not the best pictures as some of the flies look larger than they actually are when blown up but most are 16's, 18's and 14's. All tied on barbless hooks with the exception of the spiders which are tied on Kamasan B410's arguably one of the best spider hooks available.

3 Klink Specials with dropper loop attached
    3 CDC MB Emergers
    3 CDC LDO Terestials
    4 High Vis Parachutes
    4 High Vis Klinks
    3 Orange Tag Nymphs
    4 Collared PT nymphs
    5 Spiders
    3 GRHE
    3 LDO Jinglers
    3 DHE's
    6 Sparkle Gnats
    3 March Brown Jinglers
3 additional nymphs to make total of 50 flies
