Yep, can't imagine anyone arguing the case too much and he'll have possibly the best pool of players he's ever had to select from.

    Good choice in my opinion.

Good luck Warren’s side - I think you are in for a right proper hiding!

SA have now got the coach they've needed for the last 2 or 3 years, or more to the point, got rid of a coach who wasn't up to the job. They have certainly improved, but in the last 10 games v NZ they've won 2 and have been on the end of some hammerings, but I take your point as the last 2 or 3 results have been close.
As ever, the speed that the Lions coach, Gatland, can build a team will determine the Series result, but it's been a while since SA could just bully opponents off the park.

Re the Under 20's World Cup; it's been live on youtube, I accidentally discovered, and only France of the 6N are through to the semi's, the others being the hosts, Argentina plus Australia and South Africa.

As a Super 14’s fan who records/watches most of the games I see an improvement in the SA teams but they’re still nowhere near the level of NZ teams and slightly behind AUS teams. Even the Jaguares team from Argentina will qualify ahead of SA teams at the moment.
They have the forwards to compete but the backs? No chance sorry.
We used to have village idiots but with the advent of the internet, they've gone global.

The SA international team will be hard for the Lions to deal with.

Sure, the Lions should clean up the club sides - even saving the big names for the international tests.

Every Lions tour is hard and the Lions will not be favourites. History tells us that. Things in our favour are that all the Nations are relatively strong, SA are not as strong as they have been and Gatland’s experience. A lot can change in a year.

Sorry Taffy1; I assumed it was on Sky so didn't look, then up popped the 2nd group of games one evening whilst looking around some rugby and fishing stuff.
The non qualifiers don't just return home at this stage, there's a 'losers' comp similar to what happens in the 7's Series. Here's the upcoming schedule

Looked at my Virgin box 'recordings' last night and there were 3 games stacked up for me from the U20 RWC, Wales/NZ on S4C and the 2 main semis from ITV4. Clever box eh?
