I'm certainly looking forward to some exceptional encounters. Japan, with their home advantage & support, could quite well feel as though they have 17 players on that field. A game that many neutrals are looking forward to. Who can adapt the best & have plans A,B,C if required.
2019 & it will be time for a change.

Slade in for Ford could be interesting, assuming he's match fit. Aussie's fielding their new wonder kid.
    Its a massive game.

I call that Wales will stuff France. SA will be clinical and dispatch Japan. Ireland will be schooled by the AB's.

It's a big call by Jones, Ford has had a very good tournament whilst Slade hasn't played for 6 months. I still think England will have too much for Australia. I expect England, Wales, SA and NZ to contest the semi's, but all eight could pull out a win. Some weekend to look forward too!

I think it's going to be a England, New Zealand final. Wales will have far too many injuries, France are pants, Australia not sure. Japan with home support maybe, Japan, England final. If Japan win or lose most of the team will be crying. Lols
Some excellent rugby so far, can't wait for Saturday.

England and NZ can't contest the final. If they both win this weekend they will meet in the semi.

    You aint alone!
Prior to the Japan Scotland game, Scots were rated number 8 in the world, Japan number 9.
The actual match was perhaps one of the best ever seen in a world cup.
South Africa will be very, very apprehensive about playing Japan.
    Japan will win.
South Africas size/strength will mean nothing once whistle goes!
Anyone facing Japan in semi will feel same fear.
    regards
    Bert

It's going to be a quarter final encounter for everyone, the results will possibly depend on who turns up for that match.

SA should beat Japan, Bert, but they will be slightly apprehensive I'm sure. Don't forget these two sides played in the week before the World Cup and the result was one-sided.

All the best to England and Ireland today.

Especially Ireland - anyone but NZ.

Excellent game by England, congratulations. Better in every part of the game. I thought Australia were good in open play but their decision making in their own 22 was terrible, played straight into Englands hands. England will be confident whoever they meet next.
