That's where I was reintroduced back into fishing, a great bit of water and a nice photo.

If Carlsberg made fishing views, this would be in the mix, the view down onto the River Swale in Swaledale from Crackpot Hall.

The changing faces of Loch Hope last week...

On Monday, we were blown off at 11:00 a.m., only to be able to get back out at 12:00 and then be becalmed at 4:00 p.m.! On Wednesday, we had flat calm up until lunch time. We had been watching the forecast, which was for it to be calm in the morning - check - but then 45 mph winds in the afternoon. We warily made our way up the water, ready to run for it when the winds came up. They duly did - in 30 seconds flat! We ran for it and made it off in the nick of time. Elsewhere, it was rain, sun, rain, sun, repeat... Winds-wise for fishing, it was either not enough, or too much, most of the week. Good, though!

I was up on Dartmoor late yesterday afternoon... made me realise I only made it up to fish once this season... must do better next season.
