Default what glue for rod tip eye

use seymo hot melt glue, for the top eye.

if you snap the ceramic insert or need to change eye size again just heat up and replace eye in seconds with a new one. might need to add a bit more glue second time around.

Araldite rapid softens at 60 to 70 degrees C. You can easily remove a tiptop at this temperature. As soon as the epoxy softens the tiptop will come off without damaging the blank. I have done it several times by putting the tip top over a nail in the bench and pulling the section while heating the metal with a lighter. Often, the epoxy fails before the blank even gets warm.

Another vote for Araldite, standard or rapid.

Thanks for clearing the Aradite Q up as it was my concern that you may not be able to remove a worn tip ring. I do actually use hot melt glue, seems OK

Hot melt because it melts at lower temp than epoxy so you don't melt the blank when you replace a tip ring and it doesn't fail as a glue - told this by the late Steve Paton and he knew his stuff.
