    i have this but i dont know what it is besides being a rod thats broken tiphave this-img_20190106_023345-jpg
    can any one help and can it be /worth repair
    it seems to be made of a solid piece of wood in 3 pieces with brass fittings and no cork handles there is no screw mechanism to tighten the reel it seems you have to slide the brass ring up and hope for the best there seems to be no markings that i can see only a double line etched in the brass

    Looks like a greenheart rod judging by the photo. Not really worth anything unless you can find a name by cleaning some of the brass fittings. Usually the blanks become warped overtime.

    how do you clean the brass fittings awire brush or emery paper
    or is this to rough

    It's only worth a bean pole.
    You could tidy it up, find a top eye (though wouldn't match the others) and hang up in the shed just as a decorative/talking piece.
    It wouldn't be much good for fishing with the top broken bit missing, might be able to spin with it.
