Default Dr Martin Jaffa

I see that the Sunday Times has published a letter from the good Dr. It can be summed up as saying, the decline of migratory fish numbers has nothing to do with fish farming, anglers killing fish is the problem. Is it any surprise that JAFFA is becoming known as Just Another Fish Farming Advocate? The Scottish Government keeps its head deep in the money sands and had to be forced to release horrendous lice statistics. Does anyone see the slightest prospect of avoiding the total demise of migratory fish on the Scottish west coast?

What about the netting, super trawlers etc. the rod angler I read somewhere accounts for 2% of the over all capture of wild Atlantic Salmon.

Don't be Silly. How could you possibly let facts get in the way of a man who is in the pocket of the Aquaculture industry.and making a very good life out of his betrayal of scientific evidence.
He is a disgrace to the scientific community

Surely not. His scientific method is clear........form conclusions first and construct "reports" to support them. What's wrong with that? Perhaps some peer reviews could throw some light here.

I replied to Martin Jaffas letter in the times, he was commenting on my letter of the previous week, he obviously only reads things that support his views , hence his comments on anglers ,He doesn't read any thing on Catch and release as is widely practiced now, must be in the heart of the Aquaculture industry down there in Manchester, an obvious legend in his own lunch time, I bet he is a tree hugger as well? easker1

It's a pity scientists aren't like doctors, he would be struck off.

Thumbs down Re: Dr Martin Jaffa

Jaffa's at it again.
I really don't pay him any attention, as we all know he's in the pay of the aquaculture industry and his utterances are unbalanced, unscientific and biased. In short a fool.

As i stated previously.

Martin Jaffa is the largest single parasite that our wild salmon face today.

Best regards
