Am too prepared so no doubt won't see a fish usually find with my fishing the best days are slightly prepared with low or no expectations, might have to "forget" to lift my cap / shades / leader or something and borrow some of my mates. Tight lines to all cheers.

Well the weather was not great for fishing to be fair. Neither myself or my mate touched a fish. We fished hard for about 8 hours from the Barrage down to Brander lodge. The fish were definitely there but not playing ball. Saw 6 double figure fish almost right out of the water, fresh looking fish, covered them but to no avail. Also saw a couple of fish just head and tail but also looked substantial fish. There were 2 12-15lb fish caught either side of our day out. In short would give it a go again but possibly fish a bit later in the evening or earlier in the morning was a bit hot. Fished for brownies on the second day (not on the river) and had 6 or 7 to about 3/4 of a pound, which suited me fine as I don't catch wild browns much these days. Thanks for all the helpful advice and tight lines.

All you can ask for is fish in front of you. Thanks for the update

Was glad to see some fish for sure after some of the doom and gloom about the river had zero expectations to be honest and was very pleasantly surprised ! Tight lines.
