I had factored in the chance of getting a short notice day at what is coming up to prime time when I suggested the Conon.
If it is low water, the west coast rivers will mostly be not worth a go. (even if you could get on). If it is low water, the Dingwall club water will have plenty fish in it at the end of June. It is only a 40 minute drive from Ullapool.
I have worked on the Conon at the end of June for the last few years, and would not suggest going there unless I knew for sure it is worth a go.

I think Laxdale makes a good case for the drive over to Dingwall. West coast rivers are so dependant on water there's always a risk for the visitor; too much, too little. If you want to be assured of at least the chance of a fish nip over to the east for the day. It's not a bad drive if you time it to miss the ferry traffic and avoid the HGVs - and the days will be long in June, too. Leave quite early. Return very late. Well worth the effort.
