    Default Moray Firth Tracking Update

Issued by the Atlantic Salmon Trust

800 Salmon and 50 sea trout smolts, 358 receivers, 10km of rope and 30 tonnes of moorings, plus a vat of coffee. Today marks the stage where everything is set.
30 smolts tagged today, 820 to go.
Today the Atlantic Salmon Trusts #themissingsalmonproject research team deployed the final receivers in the Moray Firth Tracking Project. Its taken just over 2 weeks to position a total of 358 receivers in the rivers Deveron, Spey, Findhorn, Ness, Conon, Oykel and Shin, the inner and outer Moray Firth ready to detect over 850 salmon smolts as they begin their migration to their marine feeding grounds. Listen to lead researcher Dr Matt Newton as he explains why.

If is Kessock Bridge, then is it not Beauly Firth?!

Well the boat is to East of the Kessock Bridge so I think it is the Moray Firth, to the West the Beauly Firth.
