    Default April mullet on fly

Time was running out for my target of an April mullet. Tuesday the 30th was my last chance saloon, following an unproductive session on the 11th and time spent waiting for Storm Hannah to exit the building.
Fish were thin on the ground until a large area of white foam sailed past, powered by an energetic southerly. An area of flat water formed in its lee, awash with fins and tails. Several mullet were missed due to ring business and downright bad luck. Two plump thin lipped mullet eventually fell for the charms of a Silica Shrimp and the month closed on a happy note.

So refreshing to see guys share clear pictures of their flies. Not something Iím used to in the trout world.
Iíve lived by the sea for 40 years and have fished for every species, but I must admit, mullet & bass are my target species. Going to do far more now that work has put a damper on my trout fishing.
