    Default Line stripping tray/basket?

Bit of advice needed on line stripping tray or basket for saltwater shore fishing.
If anyone uses one and could suggest one that would be good to purchase please.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Don't be tempted by the soft, folding types. Plastic washing up bowl style is better, including pimples in the bottom to hold the line coils.

Easy to make one. A lighter/larger alternative to the step stool is an Addis washing bowl.

How to make a stripping basket for 11

Unfortunately the photos seem to have been deleted but it is fairly self explanatory

Here's one I made earlier, about a year ago earlier. My honest review, absolutely fantastic. Don't see the need to buy a ready made one. And definitely not a fabric one. Cheers

I agree with the thoughts above - easy to make what is very expensive to buy.

I have a snowbee folding one and even after adding line retaining/tangle avoiding 'points' its still pretty rubbish as it tends to point to the ground meaning the line falls off - an issue made worse if you don't have a washboard stomach which I most definitely don't !

Agree 100% ..washing up bowls are the best .........Poundland, Wilko's offer best value at under 3 if your tight like me.....

I've still use one I made 25+ years ago.........

You can go all technical and glue on stiff 100 lb nylon or the tops off Sealant tubes to the bottom of the bowl - it helps reduce tangles a touch .......I've never bothered and more than happy with a standard bowl....

You will get a few comments like...."you doing the washing up"....or "the mrs left you out"....

I made mine from a kids step up stool, the kind of thing you would use when a child brushes their teeth and can't reach the sink. They probably have a better name than I've given them, very strong. I often take off the line tray, turn upside down and sit on it when I'm having a drink and chat with me mate. The Inside radius is also the same as me fat belly, so fits very well.
    Cheers
