had a lot of money spent recently upgrading childs play area

on site golf course

boats with engines and oars

cafe and good childs play area

wouldnt recomend really fishing side of things but good if you have to take the family with you to do some fishing as they have lots to do but dont expect much yourself apart from casting a line unless you are into pike fishing

HIGH POPULATION OF JACK PIKE ! pike around the 1lb mark even taking maggots etc

bait or fly fishing can be done and most of the banks are accesible with pathways available to take cars through etc

a very nice loch and surroundings

stocked with high numbers of rainbows although fishing is very dull to say the least with 5 bait rods on the north bank i seen not 1 caught a trout , mostly pike over an 8 hour session

This is an absolutely outrageous review, and you clearly donít know what you are on about!

Lochore Meadows is one of the best fisheries in the country from the start of the season through to June, when no bait fishing actually takes place.

It never was a fishery for the summer season, and always fell away mid season. However, for those of us prepared to persevere, some of the late evening hatches and subsequent rises in the summer are incredible.

Sure, the bait fishers are a contentious issue, but remember itís a local authority run amenity for everybody.

They did at one point moot the idea of bait fishing from the start of the season, but after some hard lobbying and a case for the defence Ė so to speak Ė we managed to convince them that early march to the 1st of June should remain fly only.
