Fished here a couple of time recently after a long layoff from fishing. Good fishing with a floating line or sink tip and either buzzers & crunchers on a three fly cast or a single damsel nymph on a long leader. Water is clear and fish can be seen with good glasses. This doesn't however make them any easier to catch. Good quality fish stocked and well worth a visit. Given right conditions a dry fly can produce some great sport as well.

Lodge has a good wee shop and a cafe is available within for that all important cup of coffee. There is a bait point for the youngsters and Jimmy keeps his customers happy with a good stocking policy.

Well worth a visit

Fished Kailzie again this morning. Fish could be seen cruising round the weed beds but weren't too interested in the usual damsel offerings, A few changes of fly still didn'yt bring any reward. Fish seemed to play with the flies and come up just short.

A little cloud and a breeze seemed to bring fish nearer the surface. Changed to a team of buzzers and this quickly brought some interest. Hooked and lost one then hooked another and while playing it, I hooked a second on the point fly. Lost one while trying to net them. Nice blue trout of 2.5lb Had another fish on but lost it as it ran for deeper weed cover. Good morning and although hard work it was well worth it ☺
