    North Country Spiders

Ian, Your second post shows what a complete and utter ****** you are. Why don't you take your door handle and shove it right up your f**king A*se! Pr*ck.

    North Country Spiders

A Partridge & Orange isn't tied like a spider!!!!! Your reply just highlights your total ignorance of fly tying in regards to the north country patterns and perpetuates it for others to copy.

    North Country Spiders

I have fished with what are now mistakenly called North Country Spiders for over 30 years on many of their ancestral rivers as well as further a field in both North & South America as well as Australia and New Zealand and can vow for there effectiveness on lakes and Stillwaters too. I have over...

    Books for sale

Not sure about the name as some of the books I have sold belonged to my late father. As the only angler left in the family I received all his old fishing books and tackle, and I already had some of the books hence the sale. I did get a signed first deluxe edition of Edmonds & Lee's Brook & River...

    River Swale (upper)

Reeth and District Anglers have the most of the upper swale above Gunnerside Bridge, you can get day-tickets from the post office in Reeth, or ask from Baldy Brian in the Bridge in at Grinton, as he is the club chairman. They have lovely water above Islet bridge up to Keld.

    Bolton Abbey day ticket prices

Hi Mick, I agree with everything you said. In regards to Burnsall membership prices I believe we pay £100 over the odds, but past committees have got in the said spiral.

    Bolton Abbey day ticket prices

I believe the thinking behind Bolton Abbeys price increase is to bring their prices in to line with comparable fisheries on the Wharfe i.e. Burnsall and Kilnsey. As a former member at Bolton Abbey and now a member of the Burnsall club I personally find the day ticket prices for both stretches...

    Grayling fishing in Lancashire??

The Manchester Angler have in fact dropped their prices this year by £20 to help members in these difficult times. If you want to think about costs look at the Burnsall club on the Wharfe their fees are £550 a year + £250 joining fee & £600 share issue

    Yorkshire Waters

Very true I always used to have great grayling days below Harrison's Ford where the wooden seat is carved out of an old tree. Paul are you the chap I spoke to on the wild trout trust stand at trentham gardens if so my offer of a guest ticket up at Burnsall still stands.

    Bamboo Rods

I've got 7ft 4weight Cattanach Sir Darryl taper bamboo rod and it is superb for dry fly and light upstream nymphing in upper wharfedale. I would say find a maker who can build a wide range of tapers and visit them to try out a few and talk to the maker about your fishing style and the waters you...
