can anyone give any info on waters to fish near windermere. we are visiting the area during spring bank holiday. i have a guide to fishing the lake district but dont know if the info is up to date. brotherswater looks a possibility as does levenswater. both in my book say they are free to fish...

could anyone explain the sort of rod that you would use for dapping.? i know that you can buy dedicated dapping rods but if these were not available what type of rod would be the closest.ie tip or middle action. iam thinking of giving this a go and any advice gladly recieved. john
