Oh goodness Douglas, I'm only just starting to grapple with Tactical, and now you hit me with Technical. I don't suppose there's a Frankenstein-esque Tactic-technic movement is there?

    Budget vest/waistcoat

I'm now looking at properly engaging with the tactical movement - assembling a full-on tactical outfit, perhaps others could advise a tactical virgin...

Tactical Every time I see its inappropriate use* a little bit of me dies inside. That is all. *That'll be all the effing time, in all sorts of contexts then!

    Invertebrate destruction

Good point. I have been struck by how much the freshwater anglers' outfit has changed. Waders are also worn even if not wading, it seems.

    Invertebrate destruction

How do you benchmark invertebrate life to be able to tell that there are no issues - are there available stats?

    Bird of the day

Raise you the bloody woodpecker that's using an open-fronted birdbox perhaps 25ft from our house as an effin' resonator from 5am every morning!

Bluefin tuna: government give go ahead for “citizen science” fishery

Well the Angling Trust said in their above statement: Atlantic bluefin tuna are at a crossroads following a sharp stock recovery from the brink 10-12 years ago. It's not rocket science. Catch fewer. Pollute less. Take less of their prey species. Improve water quality. Do these and any species...

Bluefin tuna: government give go ahead for “citizen science” fishery

(Why) Can't we just leave them alone to continue their recovery?

But it was emphasised how fast-flowing it is, so minor hills to climb would present no issue, I'm sure :ROFLMAO:

    Channel 5 @ 8pm.

Just watched it. Majored on pretty Spey. Lad caught a salmon. Everyone drank whisky. Canoeists canoed. All rather nice, but in tiny bite-sized pieces, iyswim.
