    Vision Hero

I bought the 9'#6 but unfortunately the spec had been changed and I didn't like it. It is a very different rod to the Onki of which I have several and love them all.

    Orvis on the High Street

I'm not sure, haven't been up there for a couple of years. The guy who owns Brown Trout used to work for them.

Under rated tackle and over rated tackle

Vision Rods especially the Onki and SISU are great rods that punch well above their price bracket. Danielsson reels are terrific value for money and a joy to use. Talon fly lines are incredible value for money at under a tenner each. Not only are they very slick but have no memory issues and...

    Orvis on the High Street

I'm afraid it's a long time since Orvis has been a proper fishing shop. I think the 'Brown Trout' is still in Harrogate And Linley Brothers, both of which are more like 'proper' fishing shops.

    Orvis on the High Street

There's a good tackle shop in the lodge at Ellerdine, however there are very few Fly fishing shops left in the Kent,Sussex,Surrey area. The few that were left appear to have been finished off by Coronovirus. It's okay buying on line but it's not like browsing around a well stocked shop and...

    Good tackle/equipment for older men

All of the above but also a session with a qualified instructor may help. I have similar problems to your Dad so whilst attending our local BFCC meeting last Sunday I was shown a slightly different way to cast which should help with my back problems. If you look at the BFCC website you'll be...

    GUIDELINE REACH FLY REELS

As far as I can make out the Reach, although based on the Favo, was originally made specifically for one of the big German on line stores and was not available elsewhere. I have had both reels and prefer the Reach as it has a sealed drag which the Favo doesn't as far as I know. The Danielsson is...

    GUIDELINE REACH FLY REELS

Danielsson Original vs Guideline Reach? No brainer.

    Hardy Demon

I think the Demon replaced the Jet,or was it the Shadow? Either way you won't go wrong with a Demon for half price. If you don't like it you should be able to get most ,if not all, of your money back if you sell it on.

Anyone know what this is? (Graphic)

I meant Tape Worms. Most of the Dutch that I've met are very nice people.

Anyone know what this is? (Graphic)

It's a well known fact so why is it being harsh?

Anyone know what this is? (Graphic)

Actually it does look similar to the tape worm cysts that are common in pork flesh, this is the main reason that you should always cook pork thoroughly. Some Europeans ,especially the Dutch, eat a lot of undercooked pork and tapeworms are very common there. Ughh! Horrible things!!

Anyone know what this is? (Graphic)

I don't know what it is but I have seen it many times inside rainbow trout. It doesn't seem to affect the flesh in any way. Be careful of any greeny/yellow liquid it may be from the gall bladder and that will spoil the flesh if it gets on it. Bitter as gall is a very apt desciption.

    Second fly rod

    Yes it is.

    Second fly rod

Afraid the Friendly Fisherman closed a couple of years ago as did the Orvis store in Tenterden. There is however a nice shop at Coltsford Mill.

    Second fly rod

I've fished all of these waters plus quite a few others in the area. The Teise is a members only water. What part of Kent are you moving to?

    Second fly rod

I have fished the Teise fairly recently and I would class it as best fished with a short rod on the wooded sections or a long rod (10' or 11' on the more open sections),a long handled landing net is also necessary on some sections as the banks are very steep.

    Second fly rod

Let me know when you actually move to Kent and I'll let you have a go with my #5 and#6 weight outfits. If we can meet at a water better still. I currently have 12 #5 & #6 weight rods in various lengths and a similar amount of reels

    Vision Hero nymph

So are a lot of Vision retailers but they haven't got full range of lengths/weights yet. AOS have got good deals on the SISU at the moment with virtually the full range available. A bit more expensive but superb rods.

    Vision Hero nymph

I've been looking at these myself but at the moment there are only #3 weights available. According to the Guide Fishing website all models should be available from 15th of May
