Angling Active
Angling Active (previously known as Angling Centre Stirling) is a family run, father and son business partnership – set up in 1999. Martin, the father of the team, retired from the construction industry and decided their passion for angling should be put to good use. With the support of his son Chris, they stepped into the fast moving and exciting world of retail. The location of the store at the heart of some of Scotland's most popular fishing destinations ensured the small tackle store quickly outgrew its humble beginnings and in 2011 the new location at the Agricultural Centre in Stirling was opened. This cemented Angling Active's position as one of the largest tackle stores in Scotland and allowed further investment in stock and the online and mail order business.
Since moving to our new premises at the Stirling Agricultural Centre, Angling Active has grown considerably and our new 7000 square foot showroom allows anglers to browse through the latest products in a light, bright and spacious environment. With over 500 Fishing Rods on display at any one time in our upper showroom, alongside hundreds of reels, lines and countless other essentials from the biggest brands in fishing tackle you can be sure to find what you are looking for. We aim to provide a relaxed atmosphere to shop, with no pressure sales, just help and advice on hand if or when you need it.
Due to our central location, the store has become a tackle destination for anglers throughout Scotland. A travelling angler increasingly finds an excuse to pass through Stirling and visit Angling Active. Stirling is the gateway to the Trossach’s and Highland waters, and in it’s self is an ideal location for an angling holiday with a vast choice of fishing available. Local permits are available for most waters in store.

Re: Angling Centre Stirling
Bought items twice from here and no complaints about delivery, ordered one day it arrived next day on both occasions. Also they were good enough to phone me when a item was out of stock to find out if I wanted a alternative, refund or wait until it becomes in stock.
A lot of places wouldn't bother telling you about out of stock items and leave to wait and wonder what happened to your order while the shop awaits delivery.

Re: Angling Centre Stirling
Agree great service , i bought a spare spool , backing and an Airflow sixth sense Di7 from them and all arrived next day.
Looking at buying a polyleader and just seen that they have free delivery at the moment for a limited time. So looks like i will be making an order again with them.there is a difference between Living and Surviving in this world and a very thin line between success and failure.

Re: Angling Active - New name and new location
Please note that Angling Centre Stirling has now become Angling Active and are moving to new premises, the details of which are above. The new location has 4 times as much floor space so plenty of room to grow.
Best of luck to all at Angling Active!

Re: Angling Active
Love the new store, location is great and range is decent too. I managed to get a selectin of fulling mill salmon flies at a superb price. The guy in the shop was saying that it was because they ordered so much that they could offer the great prices. Their range of clothing is great too, for shooting as well as fishing.

Same as all above. Use Angling Active regularly. Great service. Had a problem with a new rod and it was sorted out straight away.

Re: Angling Active
I bought a fly rod and a few more bits from them over the Christmas period, I was kept well informed by email about the progress of my order. It arrived 2 days after ordering ( I live in Cornwall so really speedy ) well packaged, I cannot fault the service and would highly recommend them to anyone. It seems to me this firm has old fashioned values in a modern world, who could ask for more. I will be a returning customer.
