Not the guide wear but a similiar model, there own from five years ago. We have two sets, goretex bib&brace + goretex jacket. First class and great value for money.

I own a set and have for four or five years. It's served me well in my travels to Alaska and all through the Northwest where Gore Tex is pretty much a second skin.

This gear is waterproof, and I've tested it too much in torrential downpours, and while riding in an open boat at 40+ mph. I've never been wet. It's warm as well, and for most of my travels, I don't bring anything more than a fleece vest if I'm bringing the Guidewear.

The negatives are that it's heavy, and when you wear it in Elephant 3 size, it can eat up baggage allowance. It also is a bit over-engineered IMO. There are pockets in the coat that I've not even found yet, and if you slip a cell phone in somewhere without paying attention, you'll play hob trying to find it before it goes to voicemail.

Having said that, when this set gets destroyed in a fire or something, I'll be contacting Cabela's immediately for a new set. This stuff is worth the money.

Teousers were large ,I am 36 + waist these have at least 4more inches on the waist band !
Only slightly over weight I keep telling myself ,should have read their sizing details more carefully

Why not? There's a whole lot of waistline over here to pick on. On average, I'd say well over 12 inches extra.

But yes, order by the size chart when it comes to Cabelas and DO NOT order one size up to get "a little extra room".

Grouse is right, Im an XL normally and bought an XL, a bit to big for me but my fathers L size is a very comfortable fit. I would go a size under my normal size when ordering again.
