Default Backpack to fit travel rod

I’m looking for a backpack which is big enough to fit my travel rod inside – not strapped to the outside.

The rod is a Leeda Volare 6 piece travel rod.

The idea is I can bring the backpack in to work and head off for an early evening fishing trip and no one will be any the wiser!

Any ideas?

There are thousands of different pack out there, it's an impossible question to answer really. I.e. your rod will fit in any ANY 85L sack but you won't want something that size or that expensive.

Take your travel rod into an outdoor shop and try it in some packs. Buy one that fits your rod, your budget and has other features you want, e.g. side pockets, waterproof cover, etc.

Look for a climbers rucksack, slimmer but longer for the size. I use to have a 35L one that I could fit a 9.6ft 6 section travel rod with tube in main compartment.
