I'm not condoning it, just saying like. There have been numerous threads about certain company warranties not being worth the paper they are written on, Greys/Hardy's spring to mind, discontinued models, offering a discount on a new one.

    Best regards

If you paid close to a thousand pounds? Ie new loomis or new sage. I would certainly expect the rod waranttee to last a lifetime! Loomis have subsequently changed their waranttee to couple of years and their sales have dropped massively as result. I don't personally know anyone who has bought a new loomis because of the lack of long term warantee in the UK for them.

Well, if you had kept your receipt then you may have had better luck with a larger discount on a new rod. I always keep any receipt that has a long warranty then there is no argument.

To be perfectly honest, it's nowhere near that price though is it ? You don't need to spend close to a grand to get a good warranty deal.

I have used my Sage warranties on numerous occasions, and none of them were anywhere near that price either, if they don't have the section they'll make it for you. You can get good warranty deals if you just look around.

Just saying it pays to search and ask about before choosing who you trust your hard earned with.

    Best regards
    Jim

Keep the receipt???? that is a no brainer, and as a canny pensioner one would keep the wrapping paper, and any other serviceable paper as well.
