    I think a sticky on boat safety would be a good thing, i had fished on boats on and off for 2/3 years before finding out that you climb into the back of a boat if you fall in, im pretty sure that I would have
    (A tried to climb back in the side
    (B tried to help someone back into the boat over the side.

    In all the time fishing in boats only one chap in orkney told me to use the oar if I had any problems.

    Never ever have I been asked if I'm familiar with a boat when hiring?
