Is this the "real gold" line that you all rate so highly? Smooth Casting Weight Forward Floating Fly Fishing Line 100FT Green&Gold

I could also do with an intermediate line - only seems to be one on the site - is this the one: Weight Forward Intermediate Fly Fishing Line

SOrry - ignore me. Just read the description which refers to them as "real gold". Ordered both floating and int. and used the code from a page or two ago - many thanks!

My Avid 1/3 wt reel arrived today, tiny and just the job for the 6’6” rod recently bought. Can’t help thinking though that the disc drag is a bit unnecessary and probably doubles the weight of the reel. Can’t wait to try it though.

As posted on the 10th July I ordered another set up from Maxcatch and it arrived on the 16th, rod reel and line £29 with discount code. When I unpacked was surprised to find an extra fly line and a line cleaner/straightener. Excellent service.
Rod is a 9' 4wt, blank is a bit odd as it is stepped just up from the handle ? Feels slightly heavy, but casts well. Hope to try the set up out soon.

Update on last post, I did read an earlier post to check the knots on the flyline, so unspooled the line and backing, backing knot was fine, but Maxcatch had put on a tapered leader (no extra cost) and when I pulled at the knot it just slid off the flyline.
All fixed now, was going to try it on the small river I fish, but ended up fishing my smaller Maxcatch rod, as the river is a bit tight. Will take it on my next lake trip.
