It's also typhoon season in the far east, so that will mean there are some delays in deliveries. I ordered a rod on 20th September and the tracking showed it only reached Bejing airport on 6th October. Still looking forward to receiving it.

What are the fly tying hooks like?

Just about to take the plunge with a few lines - the lines I am looking at are listed as in stock (5 & 6wt gold) - but a post from less than a week ago indicates they might not be. Is the website stock checker reliable?

No it just says they are 'in stock' on their site. I was querying if this actually translates to reality. I've been conned loads of times before on various websites.

I bought a couple of packs of the barbless dry fly hooks, it claims they are, "High Grade Carbon Steel ".
If they are they have not been hardened and tempered as they are only a little harder to deform than copper wire, no better than a bent pin with an eye.

Just an update I have followed Skaj's info and can now follow in English .
My order arrived but they had put the wrong forceps in I think this is being corrected.

My Windcutter arrived last Friday and I was able to give it a try on Monday.
The line was memory free (no stretching required), it had a uniform smooth finish and I had no issues casting it on my seven weight rod using unweighted and weighted flies.
I've never tried a Rio 'original' so can't compare both lines. All I can say is that the Maxcatch line performed very well and was well worth the 10.10 investment
