Some of you might have read my post today on the screeching Proberos reel I ordered on Aliexpress. Hopefully I'll get a refund, and then I'll order a Maxcatch Avid in 7/8. I already have an Avid reel in size 3/4 and its drag stopped a 7lb 4oz rainbow which took the whole fly line and about 15 metres of backing. If your going to buy an inexpensive reel, buy Maxcatch.

hmmm...makes me wonder if they are buying-in fly lines and adding their own box....?

Also just received an Aventik WF-7_S ordered via eBay
was impressed by Speytimes' when we were out for the day
the packaging was forwarded on from a London address but the shipping docs were from China..!....there must be some markups for them ALL to make a profit

should these lines be 100% OK I'll never order in the UK again
(and have no truck with those who say support UK - it's a global economy now.!)

the BEST line I ever bought was a Scientific Anglers WF-7-F many years ago - no longer in production. Still going strong after many years

As far as I can tell the line is a real gold but the tip section feels pretty hard and wirey.
I've got a barrel for catching rain water off my green house yesterday i dropped the tip section into it to see how it was in cold conditions and wasn't impressed.
I let you know once I've fished with it I'm waiting for a day that isn't freezing cold or to windy.

    Hi Skaj,
I have the 5wt sink tip, blue running line with a black head and I think it is a fantastic line. It cast well and is nice and supple.

Cheers G, that’s the one I was looking at. The tip is 15ft and Di6, not too long and fast sinking ?
