Good advice from Al , second to that just check the seams that could have lifted , if so use a iron and a cloth to press any lifted seams . I found the Simms Freestone waders seemed to leak around the knee area. Also put the Seam Sure glue in the freezer after using it , to get the glue right place it in a bowl of hot water for a minute .

Everything Speytime has said is spot on - though thankfully in the last four years using my Redington Sonic HDz waders I haven't needed to do anything except patch a giant tear I put in them when I caught my a**e on a barbed wire fence!

Has anyone done the outside of the wader feet?
My seam tape is still stuck fine but the material on the seam tape is lose over the top of my feet and wearing away at the heal sides etc.
I'm thinking just a couple of thin coats with minimal overlap.
    Opinions please?

You can see the tape is still stuck over the foot but the material isn't actually fixed anymore.

    Cheers Al

The black tape around the feet part of the waders is only cosmetic Al , if you or anyone does get a leak on the seam on the foot area of the wader its better to remove the cosmetic black tape , applying glue straight over the black seam tape might not work .

It is purely cosmetic Danny I'm not to concerned about it but I've another pair waiting to be done and was considering giving them a light coat on the outside to prevent it in future.

    Thanks Al

I've never done it but I think it's very possible are they boot or stocking foot, and do they have built-in gravel guards?

After doing some reading on here, I've recently bought some Pros Waders mainly for the winter. I collected them today, and initial impressions are that they'll be here in a thousand years or so.

A thumbs up for Danny at Pros Waders; I ordered direct from him/them, my size wasn't available at that moment so he sent me a link to where i could get them. Good bloke i reckon.
