Yes, I suppose that's something to consider.

I never wade much above knee height, but that would definitely put me at risk!

I've tried it but hated the feel of the cold sweat on my legs also simms material is a little abrasive against your skin, i think the benifit of a thin layer is worth it.

I called into Norris’s today and tried the Guidline Alta sonics with zip on.
」389 thet were ok but the booties were massive length wise, I’m a size 9 shoe but even on a pair of mediums you could have got a 12 foot in easily, too much flappy material hanging about.
There are no lace clips on the neoprene gaiters which I personally like.
They were ok but for nearly 」400 I’m not that impressed, I’ll wait to see what the new Vision Ikons with the new Ti zip are like before I commit.

I can recommend the Orvis lightweight ones in a US 11 for a UK 9. somewhere around the 250 IIRC

Had a few pairs of Orvis Hans, but don’t think the lightweights would stand up to some of the areas I wade in.

Had a word with the Vision rep on Friday talking about their new range as there will not be a Ikons body

so look out for some deals
they are do 2 new models
one that replaces the ikons is the
    Koski zip around 」250
its much stronger fabric then the ikons

then there s the super ones in a fabric like the simms ( Scout 」400 )

Thanks Dave, the Koski zip ones are 」300 I prefer those to the Guidline, hopefully Norris’s will be stocking them in spring so I’ll get some there.

My guideline kaitum waders which I posted a while ago had fared very well through their first season, didn't manage to get through their second, I might as well have been wet wading but for tick protection.

I bought mine for I think they were 」85, they're now closer to 」200 If i want another pair, are they actually the same waders?? Have gone up a crazy amount if so. They were nice and light and breathable, good for walking in, I'd buy another pair probably if they were still the original price, they did get some hammer to be fair, but not at the new prices.

I don’t want them until March 2020 Dave if I buy now I’ll just waste 6 months warranty.
