Afternoon all,

I'm after a 10' or 9'6 #5 for fishing dries and small wets from a boat on North Wales lakes. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Many thanks,
Ian

For the price, the Orvis clearwater is probably as good as you can get.

I've had a few 9'6 #6 rods in the past and still use one now but I'm not sure how easy to come by a 9'6 #5 will be ??

Thanks for recommendations, that's a few to choose from. I've also stumbled across a Sharpes Ajax 4 - anyone casted one?

Airflo Airlite V2 do a 9'6" #5 and Gary Evans are throwing in a Superdri line as well. No idea if the rod is any good but heard on "trout fishing large reservoirs" FB page that some of the higher line sizes are very good.

I bought a Shakespeare agility 10’ #5 for the same reason about 5 years ago, did the job perfectly
